I have taken the liberty here, to include mushrooms, lichen and moss in this category. I find these life forms fascinating. So often, we walk in the woods and never see their beauty. Often they are small or hidden away among the leaves. At first I was surprised as I prepared the higher resolution pictures to find that a black background was perfect. Then I remembered the places that I had found them and realized that black was the ideal setting.
